Spark Design System Documentation is Now Public!

We’ve taken a new direction with our documentation, and our website is now public.

New direction

Spark has supported our Cars.com Product Design efforts for 3 years now, and we’re excited to continue its evolution. This documentation site is focused solely on design guidelines, and supporting our design tools and decisions made in the Cars.com Product Design team. Any engineering or development implementation guidelines, related content, or resources have been removed as those are represented in the Engineering team’s own efforts.

Integration with Figma

As we transition to Figma as our design tool and source-of-truth, we’ll be integrating designs int he form of emdedded components, templates, and other designs that will support documentation.

We’ll also soon be utilizing the Figma API in the changelog, to list updates to components.

Public-facing

This documentaiton is now public-facing! We’re excited to share our work with the world, and to join a large community of public design systems.
